You may be miles away from UMD, but that doesn’t mean you’re alone! Celebrate and connect with other alumni in your area at Bulldogs on the Block, our nationwide social event. This alumni-hosted event brings together Bulldogs in 20+ cities for free, informal get-togethers on the same night every year. From drinks after work to restaurant meals, Bulldogs on the Block events come in all shapes and sizes. It’s simple: pick a place to host in your area, and Alumni Relations will assist you in promoting and providing tools for a great party! Learn more here.

As Bulldog alumni, it’s our responsibility to welcome newcomers to our alumni community! Celebrate with graduating seniors each spring by assisting with setup, registration, games, and much more at Grad Party. This senior send-off is planned all year by students, and is attended by hundreds of soon-to-be alumni. Contact [email protected] to learn more.

Alumni and other professionals are partnered 1:1 with current students for professional mentoring. Mentors serve as a resource for students, and help them prepare for life after UMD. Mentors and students are paired together each fall. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Apply to be a mentor TODAY and learn more about the program here.

Help UMD recruit the next generation of Bulldogs! This spring, alumni are invited to contact newly admitted students via email to welcome them to the UMD community. Volunteers will send messages of congratulations and share brief stories about why UMD was the right choice for them. Your story may help a student decide that UMD is a good fit for their future!
