Bulldogs Behind the Scenes: Sustainable Energy, Smart Environments, and Resilient Coastal Communities

BBTS

You are invited to attend Bulldogs Behind the Scenes featuring groundbreaking research in the fields of sustainable energy, smart environments, and the resilience of coastal communities.

The session will feature Dr. Craig Hill, an Assistant Professor from the UMD Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Department, who will share insights from his cutting-edge research.

Dr. Hill's work focuses on developing new real-time observation platforms for marine monitoring, understanding the fluid-structure interactions within marine and wind energy technologies, assessing wave climate and its effects on the Great Lakes, and exploring the potential of marine energy technologies to support blue industries.

With an interest in fostering a connection between students, the community, and the Great Lakes environment, Dr. Hill aims to highlight the symbiotic relationship between sustainable energy systems and the ecosystems they inhabit.
