Let’s talk about Turning On Machines
You are invited to join the UMD Alumni Book Club on Tuesday, May 19, from 7:00 – 8:30 PM (CT) for a virtual discussion of Turning On Machines, written and discussed by author and UMD alum Zac Engler ’06.
Zac Engler is the Chief AI Officer at C4 Technology Services and author of Turning On Machines (2025). Over the past decade, he has helped executives at companies like Apple, Amplifon, and Sanctuary AI move from AI curiosity to daily practice. His work focuses on an area many organizations underinvest in: the behavior change and workflow redesign required for AI to truly take hold. Zac doesn’t just talk about what’s possible—he develops the playbooks organizations need to make it happen.
