
Tour the New HCAMS Building
Join fellow Chemistry and Biochemistry alumni on Thursday, July 31, at 12:30 PM for an exclusive, faculty-led tour of the Heikkila Chemistry and Advanced Materials Science (HCAMS) building, UMD’s state-of-the-art facility. Many alumni may be visiting HCAMS for the first time, so this is a unique opportunity to explore the cutting-edge spaces where current research and learning take place. Attendees will meet at the HCAMS main entrance by the Maroon parking lot.

Celebrate Student Research at SCSE
After the tour, alumni are invited to attend the SCSE Summer Poster Session in the Kirby Ballroom. The session features research presentations from students participating in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP), Biology Undergraduate Research in Science and Technology (BURST), the Limnology Undergraduate Research Experience (LURE) with the Large Lakes Observatory, and additional SCSE student researchers—including visiting students from LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee. Light refreshments will be available during the poster session.
