Join in on an adventure to an indoor climbing wall. Have you ever thought about going to an indoor climbing facility? Were you unsure what to expect? We will start off the session by showing common steps that will typically happen after walking in the door up until you start climbing the walls. Indoor climbing facilities are wonderful resources found in many communities. UMD Climbing Coordinator Lucas Kramer is ready to answer questions, address concerns, and break down some of the barriers that may be keeping you from trying out this amazing pursuit!
For those with more experience, there will also be time to address common myths, and dive into specifics of harnesses, knots, belay styles, or other questions you may have. Geared towards the beginner and intermediate climber, this will also be a fun opportunity to ask questions about the history of the UMD climbing program and maybe even reminisce on your past memories climbing at the Inland or North Shore Climbing Walls!
