HCAMS Building

On August 9, 2019, UMD celebrated the grand opening of the Heikkila Chemistry & Advanced Materials Science Building (HCAMS). With a unique design based on the concept of “science on display,” HCAMS offers ~56,000 square feet of beautiful, state-of-the-art laboratory spaces for students and faculty to collaborate, learn, and innovate.

Join UMD Alumni Relations for a tour of the Heikkila Chemistry & Advanced Materials Science Building located on the UMD campus. Hosted by Dr. Steven Berry, Associate Professor and Chair of the UMD Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, guests will learn about the building’s design, programs that it houses, and hear from current students and faculty members!
